it's saturday \(^o^)/

happiness for today is:

too many things that makes me happy today, Alhamdulillah \(^o^)/

from the morning, doing hausaufgaben for my Germany class, i learned many new vocabulary in Germany,, (special thanks to http://translate.google.com/, i love you more and more! *kiss*)
and then, get a cheaper price for ojek in my way to Goethe Institute, so kind man he is, indeed :D
although I'm having a long class in Saturday, but since the class had so much fun, i really enjoy it much, hehe,, thank you Frou Haf for being a nice Lehrerin for us, hehe..
after i finished my class, i went to Jonas. my purpose to go there was to check the price of the digital camera that i like much, but in there, do you know what i got?
they gave me a special price for the camera! it is not the camera that i'm looking for to at the first time, it is nicer camera! hohoho :D and in Jonas, i was talking to a foreigner and help him and the staff or jonas to explain a route to BEC in English. I hope my English can help you a bit, sir, and i hope that you arrived safely in BEC. have a nice holiday in my beloved country! :D

in my way home, suddenly i'm craving for a glass of warm-sweet-pure-milk. and then i stopped in the food stall and i saw a really delicious looking of sweet-milk-cheese-bread. it looks sooooo delicious but i didn't buy it. after i arrived home, my friend came to give me a book that i asked him to bought it for me earlier. finally, after a long search from one bookstore to another, i have that book in my hand. one of my favorite author, Tere Liye, with title is Rembulan tenggelam di wajahmu. aah, i can't wait to read that after i finishes this blog :)

and what make me more happy is, my friend willing to accompany me to eat that sweet-milk-cheese-bread and drink a warm-sweet-pure-milk. Super nyamnyaaammmm!!!! \(^o^)/

Alhamdulillah, my dear sweet love Allah SWT.
Thank you for your kindness for me today so i can feel this happy :)

Antologi Rasa- the review

Jakarta, the metropolitan city, with million people and million story.

And Ika Natassa, the author, brings one side of urban story in this book.

Keara, Harris, Rully and Denise.
A friendship that build by same work in out-of-nowhere city before they going back to Jakarta. The friendship that make your day, everyday, with stupid routine that make you laugh, release you from the stressful day in the office, in Jakarta.

The same friendship that make it even worse. Full of unrequited love, 4 dimensional love that fucked your mind very well -apologize my word, i just cited it from the book, hehe-.

And even a jerk and a bitch can fall in love that deeply, too.

omnia causa fiunt

happiness for today is:

still, a sentence from the book that i can not let it sprawl around before i finish it,
*that also make me forget to eat and increase my body temperature, just wait until migrain come and assault me*

omnia causa fiunt
everything happens for a reason

i do believe that to. that everything happens for a reason, whether it's good or bad.
when God created us and this whole universe, God also already make a way of planning of our life,
like a simple thing like why i must went to campus by car today instead of motorcycle
or a big thing like why i must went to this campus instead of another campus in another city, or maybe even in another country

mysterious, isn't it?

but well, sometimes, you don't need a reason to be happy.
you can happy if you want to be happy.
you can happy if you think you are happy.

just believe that you are happy, and you do.

i love you, i do

happiness for today is:

i love you, i do.
and i know that you love me too.

i am so happy to know that.
and i feel really thankful to you.

but one of my friend had said this thing to me tonight.

'is only love enough for marriage?'

may be yes, may be not.
i still don't know the answer.

but one thing for sure,
now i don't want to loose you.

love you, love :*

Antalogi Rasa

i read this paragraph in the novel that i read last night.
it's fascinating, and maybe, it's truth

As we grow up, we learn that even one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' heart. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by.

So take lots of picture, laugh a lot, forgive freely, and love love you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. You just have to live your life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend in need, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, LIVE IN THE MOMENT because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.

a nice father in Dago

Happiness for today is:

I saw a really nice person.

He is a father. He was standing in the intersection in Dago, Bandung, carrying a box.
In the box, there were a text saying 'Dana untuk pengobatan Iqbal'.
He is not a beggar. He wore a batik shirt and he was clean. He didn't went to every car's window to ask for money. He was just stand in there, and come to the car if the person in the car called him.

He gave us a paper.
In the paper, he explained that his son, still a little child, has to suffering for Leukimia in the past 2 years. For his transplantation operation, they need Rp. 1.300.000.000. Such a big amount, and they can't afford it. They already run out of their family's property to used for his chemotherapy. But as a father, he can't just sit and watch his son suffer.

That's why he was in Dago, at that night.

The Amazing Race Asia, Kyoto (2), Kyoto University

It's Kyoto, it's autumn! :D

This is my first time traveled to other country in autumn season.
and I'm really amazed to see that those tree leaves really have yellow color. Since i come from tropical country, Indonesia, so all i ever see is just green, green and green leaves. It is not a bad thing, though, because i like green much, but it also exciting to see another color that a trees can have, hehe

I went to Kyoto University to attend a geophysical symposium that held by SEGJ, and i live in the Kyoto University Guest Hotel. An area where i live was a quite area, because it's a school area in the northern part of Kyoto city.

Kyoto University is one of the best university in Japan and also one of the oldest one. The main hall of Kyoto University is this tower clock building, that has an European style building. In front of the tower clock building, there is a big tree that use for this university's logo.

Kyoto University is a nice place. It's big and i saw many foreign students in here. If i have a chance, i want to study in here too ^.^

you can find more about this university in:

daun yang jatuh tak pernah membenci angin

Tere-Liye's book, again! :D

the story is about a Tania, who turn from a beggar little girl to a successful woman in the future. and all of her changes is due to her 'Angel'.

by this book, you will be invited to know how it feel to love someone deeply, started from even you don't know what love means is.

a love that you cannot reach.
a love that you only can keep it deep, down in your heart.
a love that hurt, that can influence your life.

you know, when you really love someone, just tell him/her how you feel. a hurt by being rejected is better than a hurt because you are not telling the truth, that you love him/her.

i quote this synopsis from the book:

"Dia bagai malaikat bagi keluarga kami. Merengkuh aku, adikku, dan Ibu dari kehidupan jalanan yang miskin dan nestapa. Memberikan makan, tempat berteduh, sekolah, dan janji masa depan yang lebih baik.

Dia sungguh bagai malaikat bagi keluarga kami. Memberikan kasih sayang, perhatian, dan teladan tanpa mengharap budi sekali pun. Dan lihatlah, aku membalas itu semua dengan membiarkan mekar perasaan ini.

Ibu benar, tak layak aku mencintai malaikat keluarga kami. Tak pantas. Maafkan aku, Ibu.

The Amazing Race Asia, Kyoto (1). Japan!!

Japan is my dream country.
I really want to visit Japan once in my life and now my dream is accomplished, yeeeeeii! ^o^
like most of child that grow up in Indonesia, i really familiar with Japanese culture.
with all those anime and comics that we really like in our childhood, i just want to know how Japan is in a real live compared to the cartoon one, hehe

and like i was expected, Japan is soooooooo beautiful :D

i went to Japan's former capital, an old but modern city, Kyoto.
so, welcome to Japan \(^o^)/

The Amazing Race Asia, Bangkok (8), Our Team

yes, i didn't traveled alone to Thailand :D

i want to introduce you to my friend that we went together.
from the left one, its me :D and beside me is my teacher from my department, Ms. Ningsih. in the middle, he is my senior, Eko. you already know who is beside him because i already mention him in my previous post. yup, he is my partner-in-crime, my junior, Aulia. and the last one is my junior too, Ame.

at first, our purpose to go to Thailand is to attend a symposium that held in Bangkok. but unfortunately (or fortunately ?) the symposium was canceled because of Thai's flood issue. because all of our accommodation is already settled, so it just a waste if we cancel our trip to. so we decide to went there for just holiday. yeeaay!

see you again, Thailand. :)

The Amazing Race Asia, Bangkok (7), It's Thai food!

if you travel to another country, don't miss a chance to try it's traditional food.

a different place, different culture, different dishes too. maybe sometimes the taste is not familiar at all with your tongue. but if you never try them, you wouldn't know whether they are delicious or not :D

beside Khao Niao Mamuang that i told you before in my previous post, i especially like the food in this picture. it's called Pad Thai. it is look like a noodle but wider and made from rice, so it has white color. i think it's a little bit similar with Chinese Kwetiaw, chewy but delicate texture. you only have to pay 50 Baht for one portion to get this seafood pad thai. and also, you can request to the seller whether you want to make it spicy or not. 8 out of 10! :)

Thailand is a tropical country, like Indonesia. so in there, you can find a lot of variety of fresh tropical fruit like mango, guava, papaya, pineapple, orange, and many other. they usually sell it for 10-20 baht per portion or per each fruit.

for a hot weather in Thailand, eating a cool, fresh fruit while you take a walk is a yum! :D

in my last day in Thailand, me and my partner-in-crime decide to have dinner buy buying traditional food in street traders so that we can really feel as a Thai people. of course, buy buying the food in here it's a lot lot cheaper than in a Restaurant. we only pay 200 Baht for 5 person for a lot of kind of fish and vegetable. yum!

i think, thai people really like sour, so a lot of kind of food has a sour taste. if it just slightly sour then it's ok, but if it's too sour, then, just be ready to have your water for drink, hahaha..

Bon appetit!

i believe

today is a gloomy day in my lab.
error come and come again without any solution yet.
and i decide to listen to this song,
a song that always can boost my courage and my mood.

be yourself an angel of kindness.

here is the lyrics.
enjoy.

"I Believe In You (Je Crois En Toi)"

Lonely
The path you have chosen
A restless road
No turning back
One day you
Will find your light again
Don't you know
Don't let go
Be strong

Follow you heart
Let you love lead through the darkness
Back to a place you once knew
I believe, I believe, I believe
In you

Follow your dreams
Be yourself, an angel of kindness
There's nothing that you can not do
I believe, I believe, I believe
In you.

Tout seul
Tu t'en iras tout seul
Coeur ouvert
A L'univers
Poursuis ta quete
Sans regarder derriere
N'attends pas
Que le jour
Se leve

Suis ton etoile
Va jusqu'ou ton reve t'emporte
Un jour tu le toucheras
Si tu crois si tu crois si tu crois
En toi
Suis la lumiere
N'eteins pas la flamme que tu portes
Au fonds de toi souviens-toi
Que je crois que je crois que je crois
Que je crois
En toi

Someday I'll find you
Someday you'll find me too
And when I hold you close
I'll know that is true

Follow your heart
Let you love lead through the darkness
Back to a place you once knew
I believe, I believe, I believe in you

Follow your dreams
Be yourself, an angel of kindness
There's nothing that you can not do
I believe, I believe, I believe
In you.

The Amazing Race Asia, Bangkok (6), Elephant!

in Thailand, you can see this animal everywhere!
in the picture, statue, or even the alive one, hehe
yup, here he comes, Elephant! :D

he is soooo big, but he is so cute :D

Elephant is the symbol of Thailand, and Thai people treat them as their friend, not just an ordinary animal.

if you went to the floating market by a tour, they usually bring you also to this elephant farm.
in here, you can try to ride an elephant, but it a little bit expensive, around 500-600 baht per person. but it you are afraid or you think it is too expensive, you still can feel the excitement with the elephant by feeding him. a bucket of banana as his food will cost 100 baht and after you feed him, he will show his gratitude by doing a thank-you-attraction :D

i want to introduce you my partner-in-crime-in-Thailand :D

no, he is not the elephant one, but the one that give banana to the elephant, hehe..
he is Aulia, my friend from the same lab in my university.
still available, entering his master degree this year.
if you are interested, tell me, ok, hahahaha
(ups, i'm ready to get kicked from my lab :p )

anyway, see you again, cutie Elephant! :D

The Amazing Race Asia, Bangkok (5), Mango Sticky Rice

Mango Sticky Rice, or in Thailand, Khao Niao Mamuang (ข้าวเหนียวมะม่วง) is one of the snack or side dishes in Thailand. as you can see in the picture, the dishes contains of sweet sticky rice, a fresh peeled mango, and coconut milk sauce.

and the taste? hmmmmm, yum yum yummy!! 9.5 out of 10 point! :D

if i describe the taste that will makes you droll, first i want to make a comment about the mango. if you put the mango inside your mouth, it will be melt and your mouth will be filled with fresh and sweet sensation :D and then, the sticky rice is sweet but it still has a savory taste in it, and it just perfect if you mixed it with mango and the coconut milk sauce.

actually i'm not a person who cannot eat sweet much, but for this one, i think i can eat that a whole package :D

i forget the price but think around 50-100 baht, depend on the size. so, don't forget to taste it!
